Dr. David E. Halpern - Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. David E. Halpern is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and by the American Board of Surgeons, with an additional sub-specialty certification in Hand Surgery. He received his medical degree from New York University and trained at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and University of Southern California (Los Angeles). He currently is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of South Florida. Dr. Halpern’s work is published in peer-reviewed plastic surgery and hand surgery medical journals. Dr. Halpern is currently the Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Tampa General Hospital and Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital of Tampa. Additionally, he was the President of the Florida Hand Society from 2006–2008, and has been the Medical Director of the Wound and Hyperbaric Center at Memorial Hospital since its inception in 2004.
